Little Monsters around the world know Greyson Chance from an impressive piano cover of Lady Gaga's hit song "Paparazzi" back in 2010. The then 13-year-old became an Internet sensation, caught the attention of Ellen DeGeneres and quickly released his debut album, Hold On 'til the Night, which garnered mixed reviews from fans and critics alike. Following the release of his Truth Be Told, Part 1 extended play and a couple of one-off singles ("Thrilla In Manila", "Meridians"), the artist is ready for the next big step in his career.
Chance's new single "Afterlife" (officially out tomorrow) is the first taste of his second EP, Somewhere Over My Head, set for release in early 2016. For those who have not heard the artist's vocal abilities since his Lady Gaga cover or "Waiting Outside the Lines" days, they will be pleasantly surprised. Constructed as an upbeat, mid-tempo ballad, Chance details a personal story of a romantic interest taking a leap into the unknown. Instead of overusing tired, production-heavy trends, found all too often in today's pop world, Chance lets his natural talents carry the track.
