So Manchester was awesome. I'm feeling quite sad because I go back to work tomorrow and I don't really want to. I just feel a bit meurgh about the whole thing. I only have another 5 weeks until my next holiday but it's still too many weeks already.
I'll be totally doing another city break this time I think.
I had said I was going to go to Cyberdog and get some Sugarpill, because I had to. I love Sugarpill. However, the stand was so hard to see so I decided the lashes were easier and possibly less fuss. There were no testers out so I couldn't test the products on my hand either, I had to tell by a chart under UV light on the wall by the door. I prefer to use Tilt cosmetics in Camden London for Sugarpill. Also, its far cheaper as well by about £5 per eyeshadow.I haven't had a shot at using the lashes yet but I am excited to try. I just need an excuse to do it. I have a few theatrical events coming up so maybe thats the best time.

I had a great time in Afflecks Palace as well. I could have lost myself in there. We went on Sunday and didn't realise most of the places were shut. I was wondering why people had recommended it to me. I was a bit surprised. Spur of the moment, we decided to try the place again on Monday and it was a treasure trove of interesting things. I couldn't believe how much stuff there was.
As I was kinda broke, I managed to get one or two things but nothing more.
I'm also supposed to be buying serious things and not things I would normally wear.
Check out the lolly display in the American sweet shop! I had a cherry lolly and Jack had a popcorn flavour one.
We did hit Canal Street as well. Put a bisexual woman and a gay man in Manchester and this is what happens! The night started with some cocktails on Canal Street. Not too dangerous. Turns out the guy who worked in the bar was from Nottingham as well! You cannot escape Notts.
We also found a cucumber in a nightclub. I have no idea either.
Cereal bar anyone? I knew they had one in London but I didn't know there was one in Manchester. Awesome! Sadly no coeliac free stuff so I couldn't get involved but I wish!
Pornstar Martinis. I had never had this cocktail before but I knew a few of my friends love them. They were gorgeous. You feel as if its freshly squeezed passionfruit juice with a shot of prosecco on the side. I could have stayed drinking those all night. Not bad for 2 for 1 on Canal Street. I think the bar was called On bar??! It's at the end of the street near GAY. Sorry for no proper names!
We got milk bottle cocktails next!
This was another favourite! The bar called From Dusk Till Pawn. It's styled like an American pawn shop with bars on the door and stuff everywhere in the windows. I loved this. In fact, the minute I walked in, I got a craving so bad for New York. It was as if I had gone back in time to New York again. I felt a bit sad because it made me miss things but this was soon remedied by hot bartenders serving cold cocktails! We did get stung a bit on the drink prices - its totally a place to slow sip and be seen rather then a drink fast, get drunk kinda place. We decided not to stay for the second one before going to Allotment bar. I have to say that we didn't go to Allotment as we weren't in the mood for the second round of expensive drink prices.
A nice spot of art!
You have to admire a place that advertises Barrys Tea. A small taste of home away from home!
