BEYOND THE AVENGERS

Let's see, there are three Iron Man films, four seasons of the Hulk television series, four made for television films connected to the Hulk television series, two theatrical Hulk films, three obscure made for television Captain America films, one completed Captain America film, one more Captain America film under development, two Thor films with everything dovetailing into a film that has Iron Man, the Hulk, Captain America, Thor, Hawkeye and Black Widow all in the same film entitled the Avengers (Not to be confused by the espionoge BBC television series with the same name).  So what happens next?  Well if you're the Walt Disney Corporation and you own Marvel Comics, the next step would be to turn S.H.I.E.L.D. (the fictional United States Government agency who established and supervises the Avengers) into a television series that has nothing to do with any of the Marvel Comics super-hero films.  Not even Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury---The Chief Executive Officer of S.H.I.E.L.D. is going to show up for episodes of the television series that his character is supposed to be in charge over---Not even as a one episode a year guest star basis.  And so with the help of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel television series executive producer and creator Joss Whedon,
here comes the television series S.H.I.E.L.D.
Clark Gregg Agent Phil Coulson (The only character from the movies to show up in the television show because he isn't a huge multi-billionaire actor)

Brett Dalton as Agent Grant Ward

Ming-Na Wen as Agent Melinda May
Oh come on, you know you have to watch every single episode and purchase every season on digital video disk.  It has comic book super-heros and it's an extension of the Avengers.  Ok, none of the big name multi-billionaire actors doing the 2012 the Avengers film showed up for the television series and both the American Broadcast Company and Disney is filming the television show anyway.  I don't know if the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier will show up either because it requires too much money for the special effects involved.  It may not be a good omen, but still, the American Broadcast Company and Disney (Who owns Marvel Comics) is expecting to rake in tons and tons of money from this television show project anyway.  Well, when your realize that Disney also owns the American Broadcast Company as well as owning Marvel Comics, this is clearly a natural progression.
Meanwhile, Scarlett Johansson continues to film scenes for the upcoming film Captain America II---Winter Soldier.
